Keeping children in school and out of child labor and child marriages is challenging in rural areas like the Annamaya District in Andhra Pradesh. Poverty often forces these children to drop out of school and work as farm labor or, if they are girls, be married off to reduce the burden on families. CRY America is working to help transform the lives of these children by working with communities, families, and the children themselves to protect them from child labor, child marriage, and child abuse and to reintegrate them back into schools and provide them with life-skills and professional-skills coaching so that they can create their own paths to success.
