Our Vision

A happy, healthy and creative child whose rights are protected and honored in a society that is built on respect for dignity, justice and equity for all.

Our Mission

To enable people to take responsibility for the situation of underprivileged children, especially Indian, and so motivate them to seek resolution through individual and collective action thereby enabling children to realize their full potential, and people to discover their potential for action and change.

What Can You Do?

Volunteers come from different walks of life – students from various universities, professionals, housewives and people working in various companies. Each contributes in whichever way they can … a vital contribution to the organization and the situation of children.

CRY Bay Area was established in 2002 and is committed to care for the rights and happiness of children with an aim to raise funds and spread awareness about children’s rights in the Bay Area. We believe that our dear Bay Area can work together and be able to change the lives of millions of children and through them, the future of this world! Lets join hands to make this world a better place for the children to grow up and live in! We invite high school students, college students, working professionals, retirees, homemakers and others to join us – volunteer, donate, attend events, and spread the word. Please feel free to get in touch with us to find out different ways in which you can “Stand Up For Child Rights” in the true sense.

Volunteer

“In our society, Children’s rights are compromised every day, especially in the third world with child abuse activities like child labor and child trafficking. Children cannot stand up for their right when their rights are compromised. I believe they need every help they can get. I want to “Stand up for Child Rights” so children around the world always feel safe. I have been with CRY since 2005 when I first joined as volunteer for University of Kentucky CRY Student Chapter. I was elected as the President for the Chapter and I raised 5000$ for CRY. I have moved to Bay area in 2007 and I have been volunteering since then for CRY Bay Area and support the cause of uplifting the underprivileged children in US and India. In 2013 joined the CRY America Exec Team to help with the US Grants role.”

Volunteers

“We have been volunteering for CRY America for over 7 years now. Having personally visited projects supported by CRY and having been amazed at the kind of impact it has had on those communities gives us the motivation to continue doing our little part in this huge movement for Child Rights to ensure sustainable change in the lives of children! Different children’s issues are so connected that we don’t believe they can be resolved in isolation, thus deserving a more holistic approach. We strongly believe in CRY’s approach of addressing root causes, a lot of times bringing change in the entire community (not only the children) in the process of solving children’s issues like illiteracy, healthcare and/or discrimination.”
