Eritrea: A Nation in Need of Sanitation

Eritrea is a small country off the coast of East Africa. Unfortunately, the vast majority of the population does not have the means to meet the standards of proper hygiene. In fact, about 80% of Eritreans lack access to clean water. Additionally, the infant mortality rate in Eritrea is about 55%. This devastates the futures of thousands of children who lose their family members to diseases that could be prevented by the small things in life we often take for granted, including having clean places to bathe and even soap. By donating towards developing a stronger healthcare infrastructure, you would be giving the children of Eritrea the chance to find joy and hope in their lives.
