I have been supporting CRY America for past 10 years .. it started as a twinge of conscience and has developed into a community event and commitment.. 

CRY has been supporting child rights in India for past 41 years and in America for 18 years.. to see CRY at work, I visited a project partner in the outskirts of Bengaluru in December 2019.. I was impressed on multiple levels —

overriding need of NGO help in India to make the government do what it is supposed to…..

the lack of IDENTITY of the migrant workers in urban slums …

 the lack of basic needs even today in sprawling metropolis with undernourished children as opposed to growing obesity epidemic … the passion and care of the volunteers and workers of CRY and project partner Ananya foundation… HOPE in children’s eyes ,, …. 

And then COVID arrived .. what do people living on daily wages with a tarp for a roof do ? Walk hundreds Of Kilometers back to their villages where they at least can claim a hut ! 

The hands on need for support from CRY was as never before — CRY provided migrant laborers with immediate relief , set up temporary camps , worked for online education for their kids ..

The NEED is Immense …
